So on the Bert Show yesterday, there was this hilarious bit where a crazy lady called a dispatcher about a wreck. Click here to hear it. It was by far one of the funniest things I have EVER heard! It's a real recording of a real lady. You have to listen all the way to the end!

This Weekend

So this weekend was quite eventful! Saturday we went to UGA for my first tailgate party! It was lots-o-fun! After the game, we drove around Athens for Chris to show me his old stomping grounds. Then we drove over to Comer to see the first church Chris was a youth pastor at. While on that side of town, we drove over to Watkinsville to see the covered bridge. It was so pretty. I will put up a few pictures of it later today. Then Sunday we went to church for a great service and had lunch with Jeff and Kim. They're such cool people. We had the strangest waitress EVER. It was too funny!

I've officially started this week out with a bang! I have been SO sick today. I've got some sort of stomach bug and it sucks! So basically, if anything involved getting off the couch, I didn't do it. During all my time on the couch, I have decided I want a blackberry or iphone. Really, the only reason I want one is so I can twitter on facebook. Well as most of you know, Chris is dying for and iphone, so I have literally created a monster because this is all he will be talking about for the next few days. I am super excited because I'm going to ScrapMania on Saturday night with Amanda! My friend Heather and her friend have signed up too. I can't wait! I'm in desperate need for some girl time!

My New Fav!

Soooooooo, Sunday night we all went to see my new fav band, Revive. They are awesome! They're from Australia and they're awesome. I know I've said that already, but they are. Anyway, they've got a great story and they are on tour with Third Day, my other fav band! Chris and I had dinner with Ty, the guitar player and his wife Steph last night. SO much fun! Great peeps!
That's about as interesting as life has been for me this week. Maybe I'll have something a little more interesting in a couple of days.

The Weekend Is Almost Over!

Ah yes, it's Sunday. Such a sad day for me. Sundays always make me realize that Monday is just a few hours away! But, I must say church was great today! We're going back in a couple of hours to see the band Revive. Let me just say they are awesome!!!

Anyway, Friday night was some much needed fun! Heather, Chris and I went to Cagle's Dairy for the Corn Maize. I had never been before, so it was definitely interesting. We went through the maze, went on a hayride and roasted marshmallows at the bonfire. Lots o fun!

So onto something a little more serious. Chris and I have always had a huge heart for ministry. However, after getting hurt a few times (and hurt from a church is the worst), it has been really hard to pick up the pieces and find the place God is leading us. For the past 4 years, we have said, "God, if only we had fewer bills, we would be able to serve you in a full time capacity". Well guess what? We literally only have 3 bills right now. For the past few months we have been looking at our situation with a negative spin. But a couple of weeks ago, it hit very clearly that all of this is a blessing. Because we have got rid of everything, we can truly go WHEREVER it is that God is calling us. We know without a shadow of a doubt that God is working in our lives and I absolutely can not wait to see where He's leading us. Through all of this I have probably drifted farther than I've ever been from God since I got saved. While everything was crumbling around me, it made it very hard to know that good would come of it (though deep down I knew it would). But now, I'm back in the swing of things. I just feel so at peace now, knowing that we are in a position to do what God has planned for us to do all along.....serve Him with all that is in us.

Time To Grow Up Now

Funny story.....Chris and I went to the movies Friday night to see Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist. First of all, it was a super cute movie! We loved it! But, the funny part was that we were officially the oldest people in the theater!!! Talk about a hit to my quarter life crisis! :)
Christopher's Response? "Well we have one thing in common with them: we still live with our parents too!"

Hello All!

Sorry it's been a while since I've posted! Talk about a CRAZY week! So, let me catch up on everything.
Hmm....
Thursday was hubby's b-day. He turned the big 2-7! We had a nice dinner at Longhorn's after I finished class.
Friday I was up until 2:30am writing 3 essays for my English class. YUCKY!!!
Saturday I barely made it through class. I was soooo sleepy! Then I came home and cleaned and then we all went shopping.
Sunday I photographed a birthday party. It was my first paying job! I should have pictures posted tomorrow or Friday. His name was Kameron and he turned 1!
Of course since Monday and Tuesday were the end of the month, it was crazy at work! Then my nice teacher called and cancelled class tonight because of the gas shortage. Yay!
So there you have it, all that business is why I haven't posted. Hopefully I'll have something a little more interesting to post tomorrow!
