So Now I'm Just Mad

Ok, so I tried to be positive about our new president and I wrote this sappy little post about it a couple days ago. Well, I take all the nice things back. Pretty much he has just decided to legalize abortion and gay marriage. Maybe I'll consider myself an American again when we have someone with morals in office. That'll be the day.

That is all.

EXCITING NEWS!

WE'RE MOVING!!! Yippee!!! Valentine's weekend we are officially moving out! I am so excited! We got an AMAZING deal! You know what the best part it? I'll actually have room to scrapbook and be crafty! That excites me so much!

Now on to my next curious question! How does one become a blog celebrity? I guess what I'm asking is how do you get a following? I'm still figuring all this blogging stuff out. I would love people to have 329 questions for me! Ha! Lol!!!

Anyway, there is usually always some sort of drama going on in my life. Most of the time I'm not the one who causes it. Well, last night, I caused drama.....a LOT of it! I was only trying to help. Sharing my concerns only mushroomed into a family feud where no one is speaking now. Job well done. I just wish people would put asisde their selfishness and see that they are hurting other people. What may seem like a fabulous idea to one person may not be quite so fabulous to the others involved. Sadly, everyone is caught up in their own pitty party at the moment and they don't have a good point of view right now. And one little person realized the consequences of lying last night and just how much hurt it can cause.

Well looky there. As I'm writing this, the apology comes through. Maybe I got a point across in the midst of it all.

I know this probably is making absolutely no sense, but I just needed to vent.

Happy Friday!

To Have a Dream

Well today is MLK Day. How coincidental is it that it falls on the eve of the inauguration of our first black president? MLK definitely made such a difference in this world. I could not imagine living during that time. It's exciting too that my generation is able to see history happen with Obama. Now let me clear something up...I am NOT an Obama supporter. There are a million things that I do not agree with him on. HOWEVER, he is our next president and there's really nothing we can do about it. The Bible tells us that we are to pray for our leaders, and Lord knows he needs it! So I urge you all to please continue praying for our nation and ALL of its leaders. We are truly a nation in need of God. We can't sit back and wonder why things are the way we are if we, as a church, are not doing our part and uplifting our leaders in prayer. Dr. King, I too have a dream. I dream for a day when people can put aside all the things they think they're "entitled" to and come together as a community to lift up one another and not tear each other apart. Guess I'm feeling a little spiritual today!

“I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (NIV)

What a Week!

Wow, what a crazy week! This was my first full week of school and I am EXHAUSTED!!! I'm working my regular 40 hours a week and then have class every Monday through Thursday nights and on Saturday afternoons! Not to mention Sundays are a little crazy with Chris on staff at Life Point, so really there is no down time. On top of it all I have bronchitis and a sinus infection! Ick! Yesterday I didn't go to work. I decided that since I had been fighting this off and on since October, I should probably see the doctor. Now explain to me what the use is in having an appointment at the doctor when they don't call you back until an hour and a half AFTER your appointment time?!?!? I was there for 2 and a half hours and actually spent only 15 minutes with the doctor! Quite frustrating, especially when you feel like crap!

Anyway, I'm really excited for tomorrow. It is our first official Sunday as Chris being on staff and there's a huge new series starting. I'm selling t-shirts tomorrow with the logo Chris designed. Yay hunny! It's really going to be great getting other people excited about starting a revolution in our lives, community and in our world!

Also, this weekend I saw Bride Wars with my bestest friend! Loved it! Sooo cute! Definite chick flick, so don't make the boys sit through it!

Ok, well I'm off to a girls night with Maddie. She desperately needs to get out of the house before she kills the family! Yay for big sisters! :)

Well, I am three days in to my new years goals officially beginning. So far, so good. I have done very well on dieting since Monday. Bran flakes are delicious! :) And bananas, and granola bars, and water. Not so bad....yet. BUT, I am trying to stay positive and not get discouraged!

School starts tomorrow.
Yippee! The beginning of class Monday thru Thursday nights AND Saturdays!
Can you hear the excitement in my typing?!?!?

So, I just finished watching the movie The Women.
So good!
Oh, and Sunday we watched House Bunny. Loved it too!
Can't wait for what's next on the Blockbuster Que!

Happy Wednesday.

Hello 2009

Ahhhh, a new year! Chris and I had so much fun this weekend! Wednesday night (new years eve) we went to the church for a small get together. It was lots of fun. I have a pic of the fireworks below. My camera was on some weird setting, but it turned out kind of cool. Then we headed out new years day to Charleston. Can I just say that it was freaking awesome! It's definitely my new favorite place! There are a few pics of that below too! We went to the beach this morning before we left to come home. The beach is nice in January. I'm glad we got to take this little trip! As you know, we went on one of those deals to do a 90 minute resort tour! Chris posted a pretty funny blog that was filmed in front of the old jail. Freaky! Check it out here.
