I NEED A VACATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my goodness, life here lately is just going non-stop. No time to enjoy it or stop and embrace it. Oh no!
It's more like a race.
Or a tornado.
Hurricane maybe.

So it's Monday, and another weekend has flown by! I was excited about my weekend of nothingness......
only if that's what it was.

Saturday was rainy and a great day to sleep in. Then we got up, went to the church to finish a few things before Sunday, had a nice Japanese lunch (yummmmmmmm!), and ran a few errands.
BUT then.....
my cat went crazy.

You see, Gracie, my little kitty, has a bit of a mean streak. We like to call her the Spawn of Satan. She usually attacks everyone except me.
Well apparently she is in heat right now and very agressive. And, well, she lost her mind a bit on Saturday afternoon. She was lying in my lap and every time Chris would speak, she would bush out, run and attack our other cat, then attack Chris, then come attack me! She was literally chasing us around the apartment. We finally had to throw a little water on her and I put her in the cat carrier. So, for the last few days she has been locked in the sunroom. It's funny b/c it feels like we're at the zoo watching the tigers or something.

So now it's going to cost me $250 to get her shots up to date and get her fixed. This will take place on Wednesday.

As if that wasn't enough, the washer broke. So we went to the local coin laundry mat - which isn't exactly in the greatest area of town if you get my drift.
Scary.
Dirty.
Hot.
Ick!

Moving right along, after that whole fiasco, we decided to go through the boxes that haven't been unpacked yet. We made great progress and I'm very excited by this.
Now, as soon as I get some furniture, I'll have somewhere to put it.

We made our final paint color choices yesterday. The foyer will be "Asparagus" with black and white photos hanging. Then there will be 1 red accent wall in the living room. This will tie in the dining room and sunroom. Ahh, I feel so much better now that we have made a decision. I forced Chris to think about it with me last night. So now we have to come up with a design that is equally homey (me) and hip (Chris). Should be fun!

Sundays are always hectic being that Chris works on staff at the church. Last night we had a really good dinner to thank all of our volunteers. It was a lot of fun.

Now, I just need a vacation. I am in desperate need of a beach. I think we're going to try and go in May after I finish this semester. Oh how lovely that sounds. Now I just need to plan it. Maybe we'll do a cruise...may actually be cheaper. We'll see.

So that was my weekend....how was yours?

I'm Back!!!

Ok, so I promised pictures and here's a few. I shot pre-prom pictures on March 14th. I wasn't too pleased with them, but I posted my favorite. Everything was rushed and it was raining, so our original spot to shoot was, of course, outside! So everything got pushed inside. I did the best I could with what I had though.

Then, that night, Chris played with his friend Jeff in Atlanta. So I took pictures there too! I've posted a couple. Jeff is playing guitar and my hubs is playing harmonica.

So, last Saturday, I shot a birthday party. Caleb turned 3! My favorite shot is the side profile of him! I just love it! The little girl is his little sister. She's so precious!!!

I have another photo shoot next Saturday for Jeff as well. We're doing head shots for his music portfolio.

Hmm...what else has been going on? OH! I had two test last week back to back. I was super stressed but I aced them! Yippee! I had a big project due at school last Saturday, but as I was on my way to school, I recevied a call from one of my friend's mom's saying that she had been rushed to the hospital for a blood clot in her lung and one in her leg! OMG! She is only 26!!!! So of course I went to the hospital instead! It really freaked me out! She got to come home and is on some heavy duty meds right now. I'm still really worried though! 26!?!?!?!

What else?
Oh yes, Chris has started to help coah Maddie's (his lil' sis) softball team. Last night they won an absolutely AMAZING game! I almost cried it was soo good!!! They got 10 runs in the last inning to beat the other team 15 to 14! Did I say it was AMAZING?

Hopefully now things have settled a bit and I can get back on my blogging schedule. I've decided to not take summer classes. There wasn't really anything offered that worked with my schedule and the last couple of semesters have been so hectic, I decided I needed a little bit of a break. Who knows, maybe we can even sneak away for a few days!

Oh, I also started on a few craft projects and have FINALLY made some decorating decisions. I will post some pictures of all of it when it's closer to being done.

I guess that's all for now...

Weekend Plans

Wow! It's Friday and there's so much to do this weekend! I think I'm babysitting tonight! That should be fun. I'm excited.
THEN, there's Saturday. Oh my goodness, Saturday is packed! I have school tomorrow morning until 2:00. Then I'm going to take some pre-prom pictures of a co-worker's son. Then off to Smith's Olde Bar to photograph one of our friends performing and Chris might play with him. Then of course there's Sunday. Since Chris works on staff, we're usually there from 8-12. I'll be taking a ton of pictures then too for a commercial we're putting together. Then lunch with friends, a quick nap, and back for the student ministry that evening. Voila. Weekend gone.
Isn't it something how we wait all week for the weekend so we can cram as much as possible into it and then complain b/c we didn't get any rest!
I'll definitely post some of the pictures from my busy days!
I was also hoping to decide on the paint colors for each room of our apartment. I'm going to post some picures of our apartment a little later because I need your help. I need to know what colors will match what's already there. AND there's a couple of colors I've just been dying to incorporate, so somehow I've got to make it all work. My brain is seriously on creative overload and I need someone to make some decisions for me.
THEN I'm stressed out because I really want to have my creative space ready for pictures for nect Tuesday's "This Is" post....but I just don't think I'll have it all together. Maybe I'll just make pictures of all the stuff in the closet! :)

Anyway, I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Happy Things

It's getting close to the first day of Spring. Spring = new life, blooms, etc. That stuff makes me happy. So, I decided to compile a little list of happy things.
1. There is a God who loves me so very much
2. Family
3. My mother's hugs - they were the greatest. Ah, I miss her so much!

4. Cuddling with my hubby
5. Phone conversations with my BFF
6. Spring baseball games

7. Flowers

8. Photography - of any kind makes me the happiest!
9. True love!
10. Friendships

It's always refreshing to take time out to focus on happy things. So often we get caught up in everything bad that's happening that we forget to relish in the happiness of life.
Blessings bloggers!

Time for Tuesday "This Is"

So I have joined this meme from Carina the Blogarina and each Tuesday we have a topic to write about and each week she assigns someone to pick the topic. Well this week's topic for "This Is" was decided by Nory.

THIS IS THE STRANGEST DREAM I HAVE EVER HAD

Now I honestly can't remember the strangest dream I have EVER had, but I can remember the strangest one this week. It was Sunday night. It was like I was on the outside looking in. I'm not sure if the girl was me or someone I knew. BUT, this guy kept begging me to be his girlfriend. I told him that until I was planning the funeral of my current boyfriend, I would never go out with him. Basically meaning NO. Well, he goes off and kills my current boyfriend. I woke up about that time freaking out and then realized...it was just a dream.

Happy Tuesday!

Scripted Sunday: What's Your Theme Song?

Button

So I am a self-proclaimed blogging addict. Naturally, I follow Blog Stalkers Unite! On Sunday, they give a topic and your write about it. So this week's topic is "What's Your Theme Song?"

This was very very difficult! But, I finally decided on the theme song to Sesame Street. I know, I know, a little silly. BUT, it really kind of describes me. I'm a very happy, bubbly person. I like sunny days - no dark clouds. AND my memories of watching Sesame Street as a little girl are some of my happiest! Sometimes you just have to revert to childhood memories to get out of a nasty funk. So, here's to you Sesame Street and your fabulous theme song! :)

Sunny Day
Sweepin' the clouds away
On my way to where the air is sweet

Can you tell me how to get,
How to get to Sesame Street

Come and play
Everything's A-OK
Friendly neighbors there
That's where we meet

Can you tell me how to get
How to get to Sesame Street

It's a magic carpet ride
Every door will open wide
To Happy people like you--
Happy people like
What a beautiful

Sunny Day
Sweepin' the clouds away
On my way to where the air is sweet

Can you tell me how to get,
How to get to Sesame street...
How to get to Sesame Street
How to get to...

The Puppies I've Been Talking About...

My Crazy Life

Ok, so I've been a little behind lately and going out of my mind! As I said earlier, we just moved. We have no television and we haven't bought internet yet. So we were one of those hated wifi stealers. Well, the wifi we were using "lovebird", decided they would lock it! So now I have no tv and no internet. I caved in and got Chris an iPhone on Monday, so we had a little form of internet, but not enough space for me to do my daily blog stalking!
Sunday, my inlaws' dog had puppies. Baby Beagles. The cutest things ever. I have pictures that I will upload as soon as I have internet and camera at the same time. I'm blogging on a break at work right now, so I must hurry.

So yesterday I'm on my way to school only to find out that the campus is on lock down because an escaped prisoner decided that a college was a great place to hide! So classes were cancelled.

Well yesterday was day 2 of our weight loss challenge. I have to say it's going surprisingly well. The eating part at least. We haven't made it to the gym yet. That will start tomorrow. But, last night we decided we would try something healthy from the Chinese place that everyone had been talking about. Let me just say, it was super nasty!!!!! The won ton soup tasted like dirty feet water or something. It was gross! So we threw it away and made a healthy chicken wrap. Yummy. Much better.

So hopefully today is off to a better start. I'm going to see the puppies tonight after school and I'm trying to convince myself that I don't need one!!!
Happy Wednesday!

Tuesday This Is....on Wednesday

Oh my goodness, I'm so far behind on my blogging! So this week's "This Is" is This is my home. Well, my home is under renovation so to speak at the moment. Chris and I just moved to the Smyrna area in Georgia. We pretty much have no furniture, so we get to start from scratch. I'm trying to plan a flea market day with one of my friends so we can hopefully get some good finds. It's kind of like a blank canvas right now, so I'm trying to decide what style to go with. I'm somewhere of a mix between contemporary, homey and traditional. I want it to be comfortable. I am a photographer, so I love love love black and white photos. Those will somehow be incorporated. I'll be sure to post pictures once the place is put together.
