wow....the last 7 days have been a bit of a whirlwind!

but i wouldn't change a single minute.

so...without further ado, let's catch up!

i've been dying to cut my hair. 

it was super needed.

i posted this pic to facebook a couple of weeks ago for some feedback. i found this super cute cut on katie holmes and just loved it. that was the general direction i wanted to go.

the comments were about half and half. 

half leave it long and the other half cut it off!

so i decided to go with a longer version of the katie cut.

we cut about 6 inches off and i love, love, love it.

my hair is dark, so it's kind of hard to see, but here's an after shot.

moving right along, have i mentioned lately how excited i am to be in texas?

well, i'm so excited to be in texas!

the fact that i've seen my family almost every weekend since i've been here has just done wonders for my heart.

i'm finally able to be a part of the family, and words just can't even begin to describe that feeling.

there's honestly nothing in the world better than watching my nephew play ball.

(you can kind of see my short hair here too)

or being with my precious niece on her birthday for dinner and hanging out at her birthday party this past saturday.

y'all. this was my first birthday party with any of my family.

these are things i've been dreaming of for years.

and of course my sweet cuz holli is a part of my happiness! ;)

my heart is just oh so full.

there's really nothing better than family.

nothing at all.

and next weekend, i get to see my handsome little baby nephew!!! my heart just can't take all the goodness!
