It's Tuesday....

...and that means it's time for What I Learned This Week!

Oh, so much I've learned! It's actually been a refreshing week. A hard pill to swallow kind of learning experience, but so freeing.

See, I learned this week that I am very broken. I have a bunch of crappy glue holding all the pieces of me together....and a really good coat of paint on the outside so it looks like I have it all together.

The truth is...I don't have it all together.

We went to Passion City Church Sunday night and they've been talking about Grace....with a theme of FREEDOM. It spoke to me this week.

I am broken and that's ok. I don't have to act like I have it all together. Because truthfully, it is impossible for any of us to do life effectively on our own.
I think of my mom and how broken she was here on earth, and now she is whole and radiant with Jesus in heaven. I long for that.
Wholeness....no holes, or cracks, or crappy glue.

I realized that life is not about me trying to be Jesus to others, because I will always fail.
Life is about me allowing Jesus to live and work through me. See, I serve a God who can put all my pieces back together and make me better than I was before.

I have an absolute new favorite song! It's by Hillsong United...don't we all know that everything they do is amazing! But the song is called Freedom Is Here. I highly suggest you find it and listen to it...it's very upbeat, makes you want to dance, and makes you realize that when we lift Jesus up, our lives come alive.

Happy Tuesday! Here are the lyrics to the song:

The future comes alive
You speak Your word and I
I'm running into Your hope
Because I've seen Your light
You bring my world to life
I'm coming after Your love

I'm not shaken
I'm not letting go

And everything comes alive
In my life as we lift You higher
Let Your freedom arise
In our lives as we lift You up
Sing it out
Sing it out
Your freedom is here

So take the limits off
No matter what the cost
I'm running after Your call
And I will run this race
See You face to face
So let Your power overflow

I will not fear
I will not hide Your love
Your love
All of my life
I cannot deny Your love
Your love

So take the limits off
No matter what the cost
I'm running after Your call
And I will run this race
See You face to face
So let Your power overflow
