Ridiculous. That Sums It Up.

well i've done it.
i have willingly signed up for self-torture....that hopefully will end well.

what the heck am i talking about?
one word.
bootcamp.

sends shivers down your spine doesn't it?
isn't it funny how you can say one word and everybody everywhere instantly says "Oooooh."

so my friend jenny decided she and her fitness loving self needed to start a bootcamp.
and i willingly agreed to participate.
actually all the ladies in our small group have joined in for the fun.

so monday night was the grand opening first night.
we all showed up to jenny's house and had bootcamp right in her cul de sac.
mmm hmm.

i know this is posting on tuesday, but i'm writing it monday.
barely.
i only have use of my fingers.
my arms cannot move.
it's a sheer miracle that i made it up two flights of stairs to get in the house.
even more amazing is that i was able to drive home.

it was really great. we had 9 stations set up that we go through 3 times, all while jogging between sets.
all that in only 30 minutes.

there was jump roping, burpies, sit ups, squats....you name it, we did it.
and i'm super proud that i made it through!

i'm currently taking some medication that makes me light headed and a little nauseous. i thought for a second that i was about to puke/pass-out right there in the middle of the street.
but i willed my way out of it lol!

i'm ready for abs of steel.
and buns of steel.
and arms and legs of steel.
and anything else that can be steel like.

so yay jenny for kicking our butts into shape!
can't wait for wednesday!

  3. Well first off - good for you but secondly it sounds like it wasn't as bad as you thought it was going to be! After working out it's always a "good sore" like a sense of accomplishment! Keep up the good work lady! :)

    1. Yes definitely not as bad as I thought, and although sore, it's most definitely the good kind! ;)
